About me
I'm Emily Kiefer, a Chicago-based writer, curriculum designer, and sound healer creating meaningful experiences through words, learning, and sound. I've partnered with organizations including Deloitte, BMO, GCI Health, and the iconic Willis (Sears) Tower to make evidence-informed wellness more accessible.
Whether I'm designing research-backed curriculum, writing personal essays, or leading sound healing experiences, my work blends storytelling, science, and human connection to help people learn, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and with one another.

My story
At nineteen years old, I was diagnosed with recurring spinal cord tumors. I like to say my first sound bath was in an MRI machine…my mind connected to the rhythmic beeps and I found myself the most relaxed I’d ever been despite the chaotic-ness of it all.
Fast forward a decade or so, and I researched the science of sound healing and the magic it can bring because of the frequencies, tones, and vibrations that shift the nervous system into a relaxed state. I learned how to play crystal singing bowls and it was love at first swirl.
That love has now grew into my life’s work.
Over the years I’ve blended all the amazing parts of me, from writing to sound healing to yoga to curriculum design (and so much more ) to help others slow down in a world that moves fast using research-backed techniques and wellness programs.
